Funny little story or not so funny....depends on how you look at it. As we were all waiting outside to go into Nike Town, there was mention of a wall with names on it. Since it's this particular women's marathon is TNT's big event, I assumed that the names listed on the wall were of the thousands of people who had lost their battles to blood cancers. Sammy asked me if my name would be on the wall next year.....I said "I hope not!" The names listed on the wall are actually those of the participants in the event for that year. So naturally we went on the hunt to find my name. Did I mention that it's a WALL??? At any rate, we found my name and as a bittersweet token, Karin's too! Friday marked 3 months since she passed and Sunday was actually her b-day and had she still been here, she would have done the marathon too.
